We’re nearing the end of the engagement period for Stage 3
of the Hawkesbury-Nepean River System Coastal Management Program (CMP). This
Program aims to create a long-term strategy for the coordinated management of
our vital river system, and we’re currently in Stage 3—an important stage where
community input helps shape its direction. The purpose of Stage 3 of the CMP development process is to identify and evaluate potential management actions to respond to the risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities determined through Stage 2 of the CMP. As part of Stage 3, a long list of potential management actions have been developed based on previous estuary management plans and based on recent consultation with government agencies and key stakeholders. You have now the opportunity of reviewing these management actions via our engagement portal. So far, we’ve received nearly 2,000 responses, including votes on proposed management actions and suggested new actions. Hazard Resilience have received the most support so far. If you haven’t yet
